About Me

Welcome to my little slice of the internet, my name is Laura and when I have a moment I like to make things. This could usually result in a mess, but a creative and happy one at least. I have a background in art, design and hand embroidery. When I am not working in the construction industry I like to turn my hand to my passions of stitching, quilting, reading and journaling. I also like to spend a ridiculous amount of money on stationery.

The blog ‘Stray from the Line’ is a line taken from my all time favourite song by Elbow ‘Weather to Fly’. Check it out. It is also rather apt name as I’ll not only focus on hand embroidery (tutorials, work in progress) but also my travels and fab finds.
